I have had such a hard time keeping a job....I am finally being diagnosed with ADD. I am 25. Does ADD effect anyone else this way? Has anyone applied for benifits because of ADD?

If you mean "benefits" similar to disability or work accommodations you'll probably have a hard time receiving any. Although ADD seems to be well-accepted as a disorder I've never seen anything supporting it as a disability or hindrance to work. You may personally be finding job commitments to be difficult but many others with ADD do quite well (e.g. David Neeleman, CEO of JetBlue and my own family physician). I think that ADD is is a greater challenge than most people have but you'll still have to find a way to organize yourself to your level and adapt in a way that makes you self-sufficient.
