Hey, y'all! I'm a newbie here and my name is BraveMaggie---in an interesting twist of irony, I had difficulty following the directions in registration, and I accidentally created 2 usernames. I'm 22 and have been ADHD since conception, but have only been diagnosed and on medication since spring of 2002. It's made a world of difference for me, although I still make very serious ADHD mistakes pretty frequently. But in the general scheme of things, I've gotten better by leaps and bounds.
I'm female, by the way, a senior majoring in psychology at a university in the Midwest USA, although in August I will be moving back to my home state of KY. There, I will live with my dad and stepfamily for a year, during which time I will get a job working with children in a crisis management-type setting, as well as take the GRE and apply for grad school. However, when I graduate, I will be lucky to have a cumulative GPA over 3.0. PLEASE, no one tell me how hard it will be to get into grad school with such a low GPA, since a) I already know, and b) I've worked like a dog to get even that.
But anyway, I'm very, very glad to be here! It's great to have a place where I'm understood!
Later,
brave maggie
