I am 47 years old and have just realized I have ADD. Is there a difference between ADD and ADHD?

There are many differences (mainly Add-ers don't have the hyperactivity component.) I recommend doing some reading to get a good description of both ADD and ADHD, though. Driven to Distraction is an excellent book that easy to wade through.

In children ADD tends to affect more girls. They are usually seen as frequently day-dreaming. As Bluestocking said, ADHD has a big component of Hyperactivity. There are also subtypes of ADD/ADHD. You can find out more about them at: www.amenclinic.com/ac/default.aspThis is a really helpful site. Becky
