Hi, i haven't been technically diagnosed with adult add, but i'm afraid i have it. i had gone to my primary care physician for a perscription of wellbutrin to use to quit smoking. while using it for aprox two months, i noticed that a lot of my "quirks" had become much less noticable if at all. By "quirk" i mean things like, complete and total inability to read anything containing more than one paragraph, extreme restlessness, fidgety, mentally exausted, unable to finish started tasks, ect...... i went back to him and told him that this had happened and he said that it not uncommon for wellbutrin to have this affect on people. he believed that my condition was somewhere in the middle of an anxiety problem and ADD. I tried concerta and had the same experience as others here, ok for the day, but an animal at night, with extreme depression after i stopped taking it. i just wanted to know if anyone else had any experiences like this, or if there is anything that i could try that might work even better, as my symptoms have not altogether disappeared....

I have been diagnosed with add years ago and have taken wellbutrin xl - 600 mg -- 2* 300mg. It has worked well for me, however only in conjunction with regular exercise, omega 3 fatty acids, and several vitamins that I take including b6 + ca/mg. The wellbutrin xl works but it is a little mild for me and can add a bit of anxiety as well..
