I am new to this site and have diagnosed with adult ADD as of about a year ago. i tried both concerta and adderaa and like adderall better although i stopped taking it the first time because i took too much and it freaked me out and i did not like the haziness it caused (ie. i felt slowed down and out of touch with myself). however, people in my life liked how it effected me. My ADD is the type where i am totally impulsive and constantly bored and it comes out in explosive anger outbursts. i realy am used tot he way i am but am tired of having problems in relationships and sick of being frustrated and bored. right now, i am trying the addearll again on mega low dose hoping that it will help me in the long run...... any thoughts?

I can understand from an outsider's point of view, My husband's ADD effect's him the same and the adderall has been a god send for him, he learned that you will have to figure out the right dose for yourself not what the doctors say is right. He is at 45mg and it works wonders for him. He also takes valum for his bad nerves but usually only one a day and sometimes none. I hope the adderall works out again for you.. ;D

Grasshopper, one of the best things your doctor can do for you is to titrate your dosage, start small (25mg) and work you up.
Starting at higher doses has its downfalls especially patient rejection due to sideffects.
If you feel that the drug is working for you, but it "pepps" you up a little too much (beyond comfort), then i suggest you let your doctor know right away and ask him/her if you can titrate your dosage.
Do not however take 1/2 pills, or crush them to only ingest a small portion.
